About Tea

How much tea leaves, temperature, and water should I use?

The standard values are listed on each product page, so please adjust based on them. For example, if you like astringency, increase the temperature; conversely, if you like sweetness, lower the temperature.

If I don't have a kyusu/teapot, how do I brew it?

If you do not have a kyusu, you can select the tea drip bag option from the tea product page or purchase a tea drip bag.
Unlike coffee drip bags, tea drip bags are made of mesh rather than non-woven fabric, so the tea fines are released like a kyusu, and the true flavor of the tea leaves can be felt.

How long is the shelf life of the tea?

Tea has a long shelf life and can be drunk for more than a year. We will send you tea that has at least 5 months of shelf life remaining.

Tea that has passed its expiration date can be roasted in a pan and used as hojicha.

In addition, each tea leaf for a cup is individually wrapped to ensure that you can enjoy the flavor at its best. So even after the box is opened, you can drink your tea at its best anytime.

How should I store the tea?

Our package is made of moisture and light impermeable material and is nitrogen-filled to prevent oxidation, so store them anywhere in a place where the temperature changes little.

However, please avoid the refrigerator. It may cause condensation to form on the tea when it is removed from the fridge, which may cause the tea to oxidize.

How can I control the subscription?

Do you ship overseas?

We ship worldwide, but there are some countries we are unable to deliver to; details can be found on the checkout page.

How long will it take for my package to arrive?

If it is not a Saturday, Sunday, or a Japanese national holiday, we will ship the next day at the earliest.
Within Japan, we ship by Japan Post or Sagawa Express.
International shipments are shipped by Japan Post or DHL.
In the case of pre-order items or inventory discrepancies, we may check with the manufacturer to confirm availability, which may take up to 20 days or more to ship.

Do I need to pay sales tax, import tax, or customs duty when importing from Japan?

Customs duty may be charged upon delivery of your package. Please ask your local customs office for the tariff rates in your respective country.

How do I use in a discount code?

There is a place to enter discount code on the checkout screen.

Can I cancel my order?

Cancellation is possible before shipment. However, once the order has been shipped, we do not accept cancellations or returns for customer reasons.
